We advise you to limit the valuables and property you bring with you during your hospital admission.
North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust has a responsibility to provide safe custody for patients’ personal property (including money) handed in for safe keeping by patients and limiting Trust liability in the event of loss or damage.
Patients or their guardians (as appropriate) are informed of the measures we take before, or at the time of admission.
Verbal information will be given by nursing and clerical staff involved in the admissions process. Admission documentation, includes a disclaimer, which the patient, carer or guardian will be asked to sign, this discussion is informed by the Trust’s Patient Property Policy
