North Mid holds its third annual Estates and Facilities Awards Day
Last month, North Mid held its third annual Estates and Facilities Awards Day to honour the outstanding contributions of its estates and facilities teams. These teams play a crucial role in ensuring North Mid operates efficiently and effectively.
At the event, 12 awards were presented across categories such as linen management, waste management, transport, security, and the hospital's domestic and food hostess teams. Perry Batchelor was recognised as Leader of the Year for his leadership on a project improving in-house services coordination. Dennis Brown received awards for his role in maintaining linen supplies across the hospital, and Dave Pascoe was honoured for his contributions to facility management.
A panel of judges, including representatives from Equans and hospital management, evaluated nominees based on their dedication, innovation, and impact in their roles.
A highlight of the event was the warm celebration when a member of the weekend cleaning team received a new laptop as part of the awards.
Kelly Eaton, an event organiser and manager for Estates and Facilities, emphasised the awards' importance in showing the hospital's appreciation for the hard work and dedication of all estates and facilities staff. It underscored North Mid's commitment to recognising excellence and fostering a supportive work environment.
