#NHS75 - "I have always wanted to work for the NHS"

Written by Marijane Atienza, admissions receptionist

I started my role in September 2022 on a full-time contract, and after three months I successfully applied for the permanent role. This made me proud and showed me that my manager supported my growth at the Trust.

I have always wanted to work for the NHS. My passion is to work in health and social care because I enjoy helping people. In my previous role, I was an operation manager for a private nursing home. I enJoyed it but there was a lack of career development opportunities.

There are so many benefits working for the NHS. I know I can develop at North Mid. I will continue to work hard because I know I have the potential to move to a higher band. I'm all about teamwork.

The role can be very challenging but very rewarding,
