Introducing our dietitians on Dietitian's Week

This week is Dietitian's Week and we want to shout about the amazing team and introduce you all to them and the different jobs they do around our hospital.

Working with patients with type 1 and type 2 diabetes is our diabetes team (pictured right). Our marvelous adult diabetes team includes Rukiye Shafiq and Sandra Enogie who see patients with type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes on and off the wards. They also run a diabetes clinic which includes elements such as carb counting. Rukiye created videos for those following Ramadan earlier this year including patients, members of the public and staff who have diebetes to help them have a healthy diet when fasting.

Working with a range of patients with various conditions is our fantastic medical team which consists of Kostas Eleftheriadis, Francesca Onori, Chelsea Slobbe, Nicole Ng and Laura Goncalves. The patients they see and treat have various conditions including stroke, liver disease, care of the elderly, sickle cell, eating disorders and many more.
