North Mid thanks The Dugdale Centre for its role in running a Covid-19 vaccination centre
After delivering more than 38,000 vaccines, the vaccination centre at The Dugdale Centre closes its doors today.
The centre opened in February 2021 as one of the first large scale vaccine centres in London. In the following months, thousands of people walked through its doors to receive their Covid-19 vaccination.
Opening a mass vaccination centre at short notice was a massive endeavour and chief executive Dr Nnenna Osuji thanked staff and volunteers who pulled out all the stops to provide this service for the community.
The Dugdale Centre, which normally hosts a number of theatre productions, became a mass vaccination centre following a partnership between the community service at North Mid and Enfield Council. The partnership paved the way for a boost in the national effort to immunise the whole country against Covid-19, with hundreds of people being vaccinated every day.
The community services division at North Mid gifted the team at the Dugdale Centre a framed illustration as a thank you for being such fantastic partners and supporting the largest vaccination roll out in living history.
The vaccination programme continues with new centres opening later this month. You can book your appointment online or by calling NHS 119 and or you can use one of the walk-in centres in north central London
